A packaging and rebrand project for a sponge aimed at creating a zero-waste solution. In our throw-away society, not often enough consideration is given to how the package impacts the environment. Paying specific attention to three principles of packaging, (protection, concept communication and extension of the experience) this package design is made of 100% decomposable cornstarch paper and soy inks to be ‘invisible in today’s environment. The use of origami helps convert the packing itself into a tray for the sponge to sit on at the sink.
